Spring Trend: Nothing Says, "HELLO SPRING" Quite like the Color GREEN
Can I just say that I am so so happy it is March! I am definitely over the cold and snow that we have had this year in Utah. I need sunshine, warmer temperatures and to see a little green when I am out driving around.
So not only in March do we celebrate St. Patrick’s day but to make this March even better (and a little greener) I wanted to talk about a huge trend that is not only the Pantone 2017 color, but it is one of my favorite things to decorate with right now... and that is greenery!
Pantone Color Institute said,
“Greenery is the 2017 color of the year, it is refreshing, revitalizing and it is symbolic of new beginnings....greenery is natures neutral."
I love this and couldn’t agree more!
Now for me painting my rooms or a single room a bright shade of green is a little much but to each his own. My favorite way to bring green into my home is by doing it in a more natural feng shui way. I love plants and all kinds of plants but haven’t used them in a long time. I love a good fern but I am really loving the catctus-succulant trend. It brings a fresh boho vibe to any space.
Bringing greenery to your space is said to be calming, healing, relaxing and tranquil. All things that sound pretty dang good!
So for the month of “Green” grab a plant and try it out. I found really great and cheap options at IKEA if you want to give it a try. They also have artificial ones if keeping something alive seems overwhelming.
One other tip, I have seen a few homes when I am out showing buyers that have put a fresh plant on their table or countertop instead of flowers. It is great and 10 out of 10 times my buyers will notice that and have made a comment on how it looks so nice.
Here are a few other options for greenery...
Good luck and hope you enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and can appreciate the green that is starting to pop up around us!
Thanks for taking the time to read!
