DIY: A Quick Way to Spruce up Your Front Door
Looking to spruce up your home with one easy project? And yes, it is easy. When you walk into someone's home, the first place you see is their entry. The entry sets the tone for the rest of the house. I have done a few things to make my entry welcome-able (is that a word?). Remember my ship lap wall?
I love this wall, and the coolness it adds to my home. But I knew that I needed to do something about my front door. It was sad, it was in need of something! I recently had my wood floors refinished so while we were at it we decided to replace all of the base and casing around all of our interior doors. This was a perfect time to revamp my front door.
I simply got rid of the old casing and header and added some thicker casing and made it go all the way up above my eyebrow window. Painted it ALL white, risked my life in a very tall ladder and tah-dah, done!!!
I love how it turned out. Simple, yet satisfying.
